The true story of Paul Vinelli, an Italian immigrant who overcame exile, kidnapping and family tragedy to transform the economy of his chosen homeland of Honduras.

Paolo Vinella began his life in Italy, where he was forced to join Mussolini's Fascist Paramilitary youth organization. He immigrated to the United States and, years later, was named an enemy alien by the FBI when World War II started.
He immigrated to Honduras when he was 27 and led the formation of two banks and an economic program that transformed the country's economy.
At age 34, he was exiled.
By the end of his life, he was known as Dr. Paul Vinelli, had married five times, had seven children, was CEO of the largest bank in the country, and a survivor of a kidnapping by terrorists.
Whether you lived with him for decades or shared a single drink in an evening, you remembered your time with Paul. I am his biographer and the sixth of his seven children. This is an intimate look at his life, presented in full for the first time.
